Appoint a viewing committee for Tucker Hollow Road and Tucker Hollow Lane to be taken into the County Road system. Committee to consist of Nick Woolen, Charlie Shields and Beau Wright.

Bo Bennett proposed that a public committee meeting be held on August 26 at 4:00 p.m. to discuss the Biodigester Ordinance. All were in agreement and a meeting was set, to be advertised prior to meeting.

Getting calls about roads needing mowing.

District 5 - Magistrate Larry Morphew
Motion Failed: Motion to have the court consider passing a previously prepared ordinance for the biodigester failed with a motion by Larry Morphew and a second by Dale Beavin.
There was discussion to the fact, there had just been a meeting set for August 26 at 4:00 p.m., to discuss and go over the questions on the draft ordinance which had been previously drawn up by Justin Keown. Mr. Keown asked if Mr. Morphew was requesting that one be voted on, or if he was suggesting a new draft. Mr. Morphew stated that something needed to be in place.
XXIII.
County Officials Comments and Requests
Sheriff Adam Wright spoke and asked the court to consider purchasing a new vehicle for the Sheriff's Department. Currently they have 19 cruisers, with 9 of them having over 100,000 miles. He had just got a call that the K9 cruiser was down and being towed. Question was asked about how many SRO vehicles there were, he stated 5 at this time. Judge Johnston stated that while at this time they could not approve a purchase, asked the sheriff to get an estimate on a new and a used vehicle, and the Finance Committee would meet to discuss.

Citizen's Comments
Several citizens who live on Cook Road were present, and several spoke to the fact that although they had brought up the condition of their road previously, it still was in disrepair. They stated that they want their road fixed, back to the condition it was in before log trucks tore it up.
