Fifth District Magistrate Larry Morphew, requested that the January 28, 2025 Fiscal Court Minutes reflect his discussion of disapproval of the $20,000.00 to Fathers House which was voted on at the November 19, 2024 Fiscal Court Meeting.

Motion Passed:  Approved to add Stanley Road to the waterline priority list and to split the overage cost of the awarded grant with the Ohio County Water District 50/50. Ohio County Fiscal Court to pay $34,810.55, Authorize the Treasurer to issue check(s) passed with a motion by Jason Bullock and a second by Michael McKenney.

Motion Passed:  Approved to authorize the Sheriff's Department to surplus 28 guns, (14 9mm, 14 45mm) passed with a motion by Larry Morphew and a second by Jason Bullock.

Motion Passed:  Approved Golf Course Personnel new hire of Kenneth Segers as Seasonal Maintenance Level 1 at $13.99 per hour effective February 9, 2024 passed with a motion by David Johnston.

Motion Passed:  Approved Golf Course New Hire of Jacob Blackburn as Seasonal Maintenance Level 1 at $13.99 per hour effective February 9, 2025 passed with a motion by David Johnston.

The Fiscal Court reviewed the stretcher quote for the Coroner's Office. Quote will be reviewed for consideration while looking for other funding opportunities.

Motion Passed:  Appointed the Opioid Program Drug Prevention Committee members being Dustin Bratcher, Jason Bullock, Dale Beavin. passed with a motion by David Johnston.

Motion Passed:  Approved to change the Wage Scale adding the position of Golf Course Supervisor Level 1:$19.69 and Level 2: $20.34 (Backdate Level 2 to Steve Segers Hire date) passed with a motion by Jason Bullock and a second by Michael McKenney.

Magistrate commended the road department for their hard work to keep roads clean during the winter weather.

Citizens/property owners adjoining the Scout Solar Project came to speak with the Fiscal Court with their concerns. Citizens inquired about the status of the project, application, review of the MOU, Court's research into the project, and if the Fiscal Court planned to continue with the project.
