5.1. School Board Recognition Month - January 2026- Senior Judge Marc Rosen, Retired, will read the Proclamation honoring our Board of Education members; Chair, Linda Day; Vice Chair, Randy Stapleton, Jr; and Board Members Mike Blankenship; Cindy Vanhorn and Lisa Wallin.
5.2. Superintendent Bill Boblett and Assistant Superintendent Matt Spade will recognize the following Teachers who are newly certified National Board Educators: Emily Borders, Heather Moore, Jordan Stevens, and Megan Wallace. These teachers were recognized with a reception at Boyd County High School prior to the board meeting:

6. Request to Address Board Chair - Per Board Policy 01.421 and KRS 160.270 (Public Comment) Please keep in mind the Board uses the public comment period as an opportunity to listen to citizen concerns and comments. The board will not debate issues or enter into a question-and-answer dialogue. Under Board policy, your comments are limited to 3 minutes, the Superintendent will track the time.

Review Superintendent's recommendation to approve the Second reading to change the required graduate credits from 22 to 24 credits per policy 08.113 curriculum and instruction to include 8 credits of academic and career interest standards based learning expenses. 9.6. Review request from Dara'Su Williams, Special Education Director, to approve a shortened Schedule for Student #1, 8th grade student at Boyd County Middle School, in accordance with appropriate documentation and per requirement of Kentucky Department of Education procedures; (See Attachments)

10.7. Consider Superintendents recommendation to approve assistance to Summit and Cannonsburg Elementary for the Safety Patrol trip to help cover the cost of staff going on the trip in the amount of $500 each.
10.8. Consider a fundraiser for BCHS Key Club to charge for a kickball game, all money will go to the Key Club.
10.9. Consider a fundraising request for BCHS Dance team to sell cookies (kits). All money received will go to the dance team for uniforms and shoes.
10.10. Consider a fundraising request for BCHS Shelby Spence (Art) to host an art camp and collect registration fees for 4, 5, 6, and 8th grades. All money will be used for visual art class programming.
10.11. Consider a fundraising request for BCHS Angela Barber to host a Scholastic Book fair. All money will be used for library resources and books. (See attachment)
10.12. Consider fundraiser request for BCHS Cheer to sell candles, monster cookie boxes to help with the costs of uniforms, props, camp and comp fees.
10.13. Review the recommendation of Kelly Fox Principal at Boyd County High School to approve a building use request from Dave Carroll to use the Auditorium for a Benefit Show on March 28,2026 from 1:00 to 6:00; (see attachment)
10.14. Consider Superintendents recommendation to allow permission to bid out used vehicles for CTE"
10.15. Consider a fundraiser for BCMS PTO to collect box tops to be used for students, teachers, and staff. (See attachments)
10.16. Consider a fundraising request for Ponderosa Elementary to sell, pizza kits, tickets, concessions to a kickball game, and Texas Roadhouse rolls. Money collected will benefit the 5th grader trip and special Ed field day.
10.17. Consider a fundraising request for BCHS JAG to sell homemade items, snacks, drinks, after 1:30pm and to have a thrift shop to help with meetings, activities, supplies, travel, uniforms.
10.18. Consider a fundraising request for Cannonsburg Elementary to sell duct tape strips, Scentsy car air fresheners and PJ day passes, and have a coin war all money will help support the 4th and 5th grade.
10.19. Consider a fundraising request to allow Kindergarten to sell peep marshmallows, all money will go to Kindergarten students.
10.20. Consider a fundraiser for Cannonsburg PTO to have a goodwill stuff the truck event. Money will go towards students and the school.
10.21. Review Superintendents recommendation to allow Dara'Su Williams, Director of Special Education to apply for the SHINE KY grant.
10.22. Consider a fundraiser request for Summit Elementary to sell a variety of items such as popcorn, candy, peanuts, towels, etc..(See attachment)
