The meeting was called to order by Chairperson, Benton Sloan. Also present was Superintendent, Brian Dishman and Board Counsel, John Blevins.

Mr. Dishman recognized the following Wayne County High School JAG Students for their accomplishments at the Regional and State level.

Emma Branscum- Employability Skill-1st Place Region and 3rd Place State finish.

Lillian Bell, Braylee Dennis, and Mattie Goley- Business Plan- 3rd Place Region and 3rd Place State finish

Mr. Jared Criswell with Wayne County Education Association recognized Ms. Makenzie Blevins as the March Member and presented her with a certificate and a $100.00 check.

Mr. Dishman updated the Board on the following construction projects: Walker Early Learning Center, Central Office and Middle School roof replacement, ATC Safety Corridor, Tennis courts resurfacing.

Mrs. Virginia Cares, principal of Monticello Elementary, presented an Instruction update to the Board on Monticello Elementary. She shared goals, improvement initiatives, and she talked about the great progress that has been made so far this school year.
