Mr. Dishman also highlighted post-secondary readiness at the high school for receiving a very high status score and showing a significant improvement over the prior year.
Mr. Dishman further discussed the need to improve student performance in reading and math, and highlighted the impact of the pandemic on students currently in grades 3 and 4. He shared several strategies the district is using to improve reading and math scores including: implementing high-quality curriculum and instructional practices, reading intervention plans for students in grades K-3, and leveraging iReady personalized learning and standards mastery to meet student needs and track progress toward proficiency.
