2026-27 Amended School Calendar
Pursuant to KRS 158.070, each local board of education shall adopt a calendar for the upcoming school year. The 2026-2027 school calendar was approved on November 17, 2025 for the 2026-2027 school year.
Since that time we have missed four days of school this year, which is now the highest number of days missed in the past five years and must be shown as the number of make-up days on the approved school calendar.
I am asking the board to amend the calendar for the 2026-2027 school year to show one additional make-up day as required per state law. No other changes will be necessary.
I would recommend approval of the 2026-2027 school calendar as presented.
Order #26-10717 - Motion Passed: Superintendent Buerkley's recommendation to approve the amended calendar for 2026-27 passed with a motion by Mr. Kevin Barnard and a second by Mrs. Amber Beebe.
