Set the Tax Rates
Order #55 - Motion Passed: Set the Tax Rates at 52.2 for Real Property and 54.6 for Personal Property passed with a motion by Ms. Christine Killen and a second by Mr. Tyler McGuffey.
5.b.
Full Time Maintenance Substitute
Currently the District has two (2) full-time substitute custodian positions. The District is requesting approval to change one of those positions to a full-time substitute maintenance position to help address facility maintenance needs.

Middle School Principal Index
Currently the middle school principal receives an index of 20%, the same rate as elementary schools, while the high school is at 28%. After reviewing the indexes of other districts and in an effort to recruit and retain a highly qualified middle school principal the District is requesting to increase the index to 25%.

Moderate to Severe Disabilities Classroom at Waynesburg
The moderate severe disability classrooms based at Stanford Elementary have reached maximum capacity and new students are enrolling in the district that will need similar services. In order to address this issue, I am recommending a Moderate to Severe Disability classroom be established at Waynesburg Elementary to service the students with moderate to severe disabilities from Waynesburg, Hustonville, and Highland elementaries. In doing so, students would benefit from shorter transportation times, smaller class size and more individualized attention. This would be funded through IDEA with an approximate cost of $88,750 for one teacher, two instructional assistants, and necessary materials/supplies to start the classroom

Maintenance Contract with DOE
The Lincoln County Food Service department is purchasing a copier/scanner from Danville Office Equipment. Board approval is needed for the monthly contract which includes toner cartridges, part, labor and travel for any needed maintenance and repairs.

Chromebook Purchases
The District is requesting approval to purchase 200 chromebooks. The oldest ones will not work for iReady testing or KSA testing in the spring and need to be replaced.
