1. Consider approval of the 2025-2026 Lau Plan.
2. Consider approval of the Breathitt County 4-H request the use of two school buses for transportation to the JM Feltner 4-H Camp. The proposed departure date is June 6, 2025, with a return date of June 9, 2025.
3. Consider approval of the overnight All District Band, trip to Paintsville KY on 04/21/2025.
4. Consider approval of the Breathitt Fishing Team (Bassin Bobcats) out of state overnight field trip to Lake Herrington for the purpose of the Regional Competition from April 23-28.
5. Consider approval of the Breathitt Fishing Team (Bassin Bobcats) out-of-state overnight field trip to Wolf Creek Park Grove, Oklahoma for the purpose of the National Competition from June 21-26th. (Students will practice June 21, 22, and 23. Students will compete in the tournament on June 24, 25, and 26th.)
6. Consider approval of the facility usage agreement from Kayla Vanhoose, Bluegrass Volleyball Academy-Royals, to use the Breathitt High School Gym, SES and Breathitt Elementary(Practice only) from April 23-June 15, 2025 for the purpose to practice and games, contingent upon receiving insurance.
7. Consider approval of the facility usage agreement request from Kentucky River Community Care for the purpose of the Summer Program, contingent on proof of insurance, for the following schools:
a. Breathitt High School-June 2,-July 31, 2025
b. Highland-Turner Elementary-June 2-July 31, 2025
c. Sebastian Elementary-June 2-July 31, 2025.
8. Consider approval of the 2025-2026 Technology Plan.

19. Consider approval of accepting the bid from Mountain Therapy to perform physical therapy services for the 2025-2026 school year.

26. Consider approval of obtaining an appraisal with Curd Surveying the adjoining property at Lakeside Campus, for the purpose of a potential property purchase, for additional parking and other educational use, and authorize the superintendent or designee, in consultation with board counsel, to obtain any needed additional appraisals, obtain legal services for title insurance and deed preparation, negotiate terms and take other actions needed to comply with KDE requirements to complete purchase.
27. Consider approval of the final draft DFP.
28. Consider approval of Tim Eaton, KSPMA facilitator, as the Hearing officer for the DFP Public Hearing.
29. Consider approval of allocating up to $100,000 for purpose of renovating the Breathitt Girls' and Breathitt Boys' basketball locker rooms located in the Coliseum.
30. Consider approval of allocating up to $40,000 for the purpose of purchasing scoreboards for the Breathitt Baseball and Softball fields.
31. Consider approval of hiring Attorney James Cole for the purpose of the STLP team project for patent issues.
32. Consider approving the amendment to the 2024-2025 school calendar. The tentative last day for students will be Friday, May 30, 2025. Due to the calendar relief bill, the calendar will switch from days to hours. It will include 169 days with students, and Memorial Day will remain a holiday (no school day). Workdays will now include June 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, and 10th. The tentative closing day for staff and teachers will be June 2, 2025, with additional workdays on June 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, and 10th to fulfill the 185-day contracts.
33. Consider approval to declare the following school buses as surplus and advertise for bids.
a. Bus #48-VIN: 4DRBUAAN0BB288599-2010 International.
b. Bus #30-VIN: 4UZADADT3BCAZ4989-2010 Freightliner.
c. Bus#44-VIN: 4DRBUAAN6AA168603-2010 International.
d. Bus #01-VIN: 4UZADADTXBCAZ4990-2010 Freightliner (No longer runs).
34. Consider approval to declare September 8th through 12th, 2025 as Cyber Safe Week. During Cyber Safe Week, we encourage students, parents/guardians, and staff to complete the online Cyber Safe Child Challenge, and we will reward students and staff who complete the Challenge with a Dippin’ Dots ice cream. Students in grades 5-12 will also participate in a school program at the Breathitt Elementary auditorium on September 5th or 8th, 2025 as a lead-in to Cyber Safe Week.
35. Consider approval of entering into executive session in compliance with KRS 61.810(k) and KRS 156.557 (c) (f), for discussion of superintendents preliminary evaluation
VI. BUILDING GROUNDS/FACILITY
A. Breathitt ATC (BG #24-189)
1. Consider approval of the Contractor Pay Application #12 in the amount of $1,075,748.96 to Standafer Builders for the Breathitt ATC + Bus Garage (BG#24-189).
2. Consider approval of the Owner DPOs in the amount of $26,610.84 for the Breathitt ATC + Bus Garage (BG#24-189).
3. Consider approval of the change order from Standafer Builders in the amount of $147,277.37 for the Breathitt ATC + Bus Garage (BG#24-189).
4. Consider approval of the invoice for Special Inspections from SDG LLC in the amount of $2,090.00 for the Breathitt ATC + Bus Garage (BG#24-189).
5. Consider approval of the proposal for furniture from ORI in the amount of $300,701.47 for furniture the Breathitt ATC + Bus Garage (BG#24-189).
B. Highland-Turner Elementary
1. Consider approval to advertise for Architect and Engineer Services for the design and roof/gutter replacement, including any necessary drain repairs, at Highland-Turner Elementary.
C. Breathitt High School
1. Consider approval to advertise for Architect and Engineer Services for the design and roof/gutter replacement, including any necessary drain repairs, at Breathitt High School.
2. Consider approval to allocate approximately $1.4 million for the design of a track that meets KHSAA regulations and for field replacement/upgrades at the Sebastian/Breathitt Elementary Campus.
3. Consider approval to advertise for Architect and Engineer Services for the design of the track and field replacement/upgrades, including any necessary drain and field repairs (Phase 1). If funding allows, Phase 2 will include alternate/optional items such as bleachers, lighting, a concession stand with shelter area, bathrooms, locker rooms, track storage, additional parking/driveway, and outdoor physical education areas including basketball courts, tennis courts, volleyball, etc.
