Breathitt County Schools will accomplish this vision by:

I. Call to Order/Roll Call
II. Consider approval of the School Security Funds Request form submitted to KDE for reimbursement of eligible school safety items previously purchased by the school district.
III. Consider approval of the following items contingent on the new school construction of Breathitt Elementary being completed in December 2022. The following items are recommended by KDE:
A. Close Marie Roberts-Caney Elementary on January 1, 2023.
B. Approve the grade reconfigurations for Sebastian Elementary and Breathitt Elementary, effective January 1, 2023.
1. Breathitt Elementary to include grades Preschool through 2.
2. Sebastian Elementary to include grades 2 through 6.
3. Due to enrollment and space requirements, 2nd grade at Sebastian Elementary will remain at Sebastian (subject to change based on availability), and 2nd grade at Marie Roberts-Caney Elementary will attend Breathitt Elementary.
4. Consider approval of Sebastian Elementary retaining an SBDM council and the same School Number.
5. Consider approval of the creation of a new SBDM and School Number for Breathitt Elementary.
C. Consider approval of the attendance boundaries update.
1. Return the Barwick area and Gays Creek Ridge to Highland-Turner Elementary effective August 2022.
IV. Consider approval of Voluntary Coordinated Early Intervening Service (CEIS).
V. Consider approval of obtaining an appraisal with Curd Surveying in the amount of $1,500.00 for the purpose of a gas line easement in compliance with KDE requirements.
VI. Consider approval of the Letter of Agency (LOA) with the Kentucky Department of Education.
VII. Consider approval of the KVEC Membership dues for the 2021-2022 school year in the amount of $2,500.00.
VIII. Consider approval of Breathitt County High School Vape Detectors in the amount of $15,904.92.
IX. Consider approval of the contract between the Breathitt County Board of Education and Allen Construction for the replacement of the Coliseum Balcony in the amount of $601,000.
X. Consider approval of the proposed Owner Purchase Orders in the amount of $183,000 for the replacement of the Coliseum Balcony.
XI. Consider approval of the contract between the Breathitt County Board of Education and Allen Construction for the renovation of the Coliseum Art Room in the amount of $319,300.
XII. Consider approval of the proposed Owner Purchase Orders in the amount of $20,700 for the renovation of the Coliseum Art Room.
XIII. Consider approval of the contract between the Breathitt County Board of Education and Combs trucking in the amount of $32,242.00 for the demolition of the existing Building B of the Breathitt Vocational School.
