Board Chair Ann Meyer called the meeting to order at 6:32pm.

• Kelly Booth, HHS social studies, won the Lilly and Mark Kurtz Educator Award from the Holocaust Museum 
• Rachel Stephenson, HHS counselor, was named NKU Graduate Student of the Year
• Robin Kemp, HHS Science, is a semifinalist for KY High School Teacher of the Year
• Woodfill's Big Top is September 18
• Johnson's Hullabaloo is October 1

The Board thanked the students for their presentation and gifted each with a "Rich in Tradition" t-shirt.

Community member Mirna Eads shared that in recognition of Constitution Day on September 17, she would like to donate Constitution booklets to be distributed to all 8th grade students.

Jerry Wissman shared that Michels will be laying the base coat of asphalt on the Fieldhouse parking lot on September 14.

• Continuous Improvement Diagnostic

Order #2365 - Motion Passed:  Approval of the 2022-23 Continuous Improvement Diagnostic passed with a motion by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth and a second by Mr. Bradley Fennell.

• District Funding Assurances

Order #2366 - Motion Passed:  Approval of the District Funding Assurances for 2022-23 passed with a motion by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth and a second by Mr. Bradley Fennell.

• ACT Report

Keith Faust shared the ACT report which shows a composite score of 23.1, which is well above the state average of 18.3.  

This class of 2023 student group will all retake the ACT on October 5.

• AP Report

Keith Faust shared that our 2022 AP Report shows that 64% of our high school students (all grades) have passed one (1) AP class.

Further, 72% of all exams taken resulted in a passing score of 3 or above.

• SBDM Council Update

Keith Faust reported that all SBDM legal requirements have been met.

He noted that each school's SBDM council information, including elected members, meeting dates, agendas and minutes are available on each school's SBDM  webpage.

Wes Caldwell reported that we did not pass either of the two requirements. Since we did not meet either requirement, we must submit a plan to address increasing and retaining female opportunity and participation in sports.  

Board members shared that the following committee meetings were held since the last board meeting:

• Audit Committee (Brad Fennell) - met with auditors prior to audit.


• Title IX Committee (Julie Kuhnhein) - reviewed report.


• Breakfast Committee (Ann Meyer) - shared that the committee will provide breakfast treats on late arrival dates throughout the school year.


• Budget Committee (Ann Meyer) - met to review/discuss the working budget.
