Parent Mirna Eads addressed the Board with comments about curriculum.


Parent Toby Varland addressed the Board with comments about student conduct.


Parent Lana Jreisat addressed the Board with appreciative comments about her experiences and observations of teachers in the district.


Mary Kinsella, on behalf of the FTEA, recognized the following teachers:


Laura Robinson, Library Media Specialist at Moyer, for her efforts in organizing and coordinating the weekly newscast and monthly Leader in Me Round-up. Both of these student-led activities highlight the news and events at Moyer Elementary.


Julie Martin, Health and Physical Education at HMS, for all of her work with Health, Moves Minds week. She is teaching students how to be healthy with simple activities to relax and ways to reduce anxiety, working with them on exercising both their bodies and minds.


Jason Burgess, HHS drama teacher, who truly exemplifies going above and beyond his role as theatre director at HHS. He not only helps his students do incredible artistic work but provides them opportunities to be professionals. Recently Jason had a cast member from Frozen work with students and took students to New York to work with Broadway actors.
