Twelve parents and community members individually addressed the Board with their comments regarding current masking requirements. One parent addressed the Board with their comments regarding comments made in the Community Forum portion of the January meeting.

FTEA president Kelly Pratt-Booth recognized the following teachers

Jenny Miller-Horn, Moyer Elementary, is one of the lighthouse coordinators for the Leader in Me program at Moyer.  She is helping the teachers set their Wildly Important Goals at each grade level which are the non-negotiable targets for students to reach in order to ensure their success. Mrs. Miller-Horn has put in the work to set up scoreboards to show teachers’ progress towards their goals. Her commitment to helping her colleagues succeed in serving our students is deeply appreciated by her colleagues and the students at Moyer.

Miki Beier, HMS, has put a great deal of time into our 8th graders' growth in their writing skills. As a result of Ms. Beier’s work with these students, the middle school had 53 students that were recognized for their Scholastic Writing Pieces. She has been instrumental in taking writing at HMS to the next level and provided opportunities for our students to showcase their amazing work.

Megan Boimann-Hennies, HHS, for her outstanding work with her We the People classes. This course pushes students to dive deep into the Constitution and answer complex questions from a panel of judges. Under her leadership since she started at HHS our students have consistently advanced past the state level to compete at nationals every year. Ms. Boimann-Hennies has set a standard of excellence for our students and her colleagues. Her tireless work continues to push our students to be fully engaged citizens that are ready to participate fully in the democratic process when they leave the Nest.
