Parent Mirna Eads addressed the Board requesting that school incident notices be sent through phone/text alerts before IC/email messaging.

FTEA president Kelly Booth presented the FTEA recognition of the following teachers:

  • Katie Carelock - HHS Math - recognized for always being willing to go above and beyond to help students with math, whether they are in her class or not. Her smile and positive attitude creates a classroom of respect. She is a master of getting students to buy into and connect with skills and content that many students find difficult. Mrs. Carelock consistently makes it clear that she cares about her students.

  • Amy Fry - HMS English - She is an educator that embodies the values that set FTIS teachers apart from their counterparts across the nation. Mrs. Fry works diligently to prepare our eighth graders to be life long readers and writers. In addition to preparing students for their next steps academically, Mrs. Fry takes the time to make sure that all of her students are doing all right. This attention to students' needs is critical in helping them become life-long learners.

  • Katy Wall - Moyer 1st Grade - Mrs. Wall's leadership has been critical in making Leader in Me at Moyer a success. She has risen to the challenge in a way that serves as an excellent example to our students as they prepare to face the challenges of the 21st century. Mrs. Wall is going the extra mile by accepting applications for students' roles as part of the Leader in Me program and is taking the time to recognize their hard work. This labor of love is part of making Moyer a great place to teach and learn.
