Board Chair Ann Meyer called the meeting to order at 6:31pm.

Colleen Epperson and Robin Kemp talked about having the unique opportunity to collaborate with the Bug Chicks to provide a science-based course for students.

HHS students presented about their research and findings from the STEM Academy Summer Enrichment course.

The Board thanked the students for their presentation and gave each a "Rich in Tradition" t-shirt.

Fort Thomas resident Joan Ferris addressed the board with her concerns about how SBDM councils are elected and also voiced her desire for the board to implement and/or discuss the implementation of cameras in all classrooms.

Fort Thomas resident Vicky Fennell addressed the board with questions about how school clubs are established as paid extra service positions.

Jerry Wissman provided the Board with an update on the status of this project, noting that the furniture is currently arriving.

Order #2257 - Motion Passed:  Approval of Change Order #8 in the amount of $108,822.00 for the Johnson Elementary Replacement project passed with a motion by Mr. Bradley Fennell and a second by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth.

Order #2258 - Motion Passed:  Approval of Pay Application #28 to Morel Construction in the amount of $236,805.70 for the Johnson Elementary Replacement project passed with a motion by Mr. Jeff Beach and a second by Mr. Bradley Fennell.

• Public Relations Marketing - Bid Tab List

Order #2265 - Motion Passed:  Approval to accept the bid received and award a contract to Living Media, Inc. in the amount of $55,000.00 for Public Relations and Marketing Services for the 2021-22 school year, with the option to extend the contract up to two additional years passed with a motion by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth and a second by Mr. Jeff Beach.

Each public school district in Kentucky shall review and consider the most recent best practice guidance from the Kentucky Department of Education, including the Data Security and Breach Notification Best Practice Guide, for personal information reasonable security.

Jody Johnson presented information to the Board about Data Security and Privacy. Presentation and review of this information is required yearly.  

Ann Meyer reported that the Education & Eggs Committee is currently working on the breakfast scheduled for August 12.
