Board Chair Ann Meyer called the meeting to order at 6:30pm.

The Board recognized and congratulated Mac Russell for his Swimming state championship wins in both the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle events.

Mac was given Certificates of Achievement and a "State Champion" t-shirt.

The Board recognized and congratulated the FCCLA students who placed 1st in the state STAR Events competition.

Jerry Wissman provided the Board with an update on the status of this project, noting that we are well into the finishing stages and anticipate receiving possession of the building by the end of May.

Order #2231 - Motion Passed:  Approval of Change Order #7 in the amount of $202,728.00 for the Johnson Elementary Replacement project passed with a motion by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth and a second by Mrs. Julie Kuhnhein.

Order #2232 - Motion Passed:  Approval of Change Proposal #55 in the amount of $98,628.00 for the Johnson Elementary Replacement project passed with a motion by Mrs. Julie Kuhnhein and a second by Mr. Jeff Beach.

Order #2233 - Motion Passed:  Approval of Pay Application #26 to Morel Construction in the amount of $779,175.63 for the Johnson Elementary Replacement project passed with a motion by Mr. Jeff Beach and a second by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth.

• Custodial Supplies Bid Tabulation 2021-22

Order #2234 - Motion Passed:  Approval to accept all bids and award contracts to the companies with the lowest/best bid that met individual item specifications passed with a motion by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth and a second by Mrs. Julie Kuhnhein.

• 2021 - 2022 Insurance Reccomendations

Order #2235 - Motion Passed:  Approval to accept all bids received and award a contract to the lowest and best bidder Crawford Insurance in the amount of $152,186.00 for services including Property, Fleet, General Liability, Educators' Legal Liability, Excess Umbrella Liability and Workers Compensation; and to Gross Insurance in the amount of $31,776.60 for Student Insurance services passed with a motion by Mr. Jeff Beach and a second by Mrs. Julie Kuhnhein.

Order #2239 - Motion Passed:  Approval of the District Technology Plan for 2021-22 passed with a motion by Mr. Jeff Beach and a second by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth.

Jody Johnson presented and reviewed the 2021-22 District Technology Plan. As part of the Universal Service Fund (USF) approval process this plan must be reviewed and approved annually.

• TENTATIVE Budget 2021-22

Order #2240 - Motion Passed:  Approval of the Tentative Budget for 2021-22 passed with a motion by Mr. Jeff Beach and a second by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth.

• Bond for Treasurer for FY2021-2022

Order #2241 - Motion Passed:  Acceptance of the Bond of Treasurer Andrew Remlinger in the amount of $400,000.00 passed with a motion by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth and a second by Mrs. Julie Kuhnhein.

Lisa Duckworth shared that the LPC Committee has been meeting to develop the District Facility Plan (DFP).  The DFP has been submitted the KDE for review. 

Jeff Beach shared that the Budget Committee met to review the budget, and were able to approve 1% and step increases for 2021-22.
