Rationale

Congratulations to Colleen Epperson for being named the Kentucky Association for Environmental Education (KAEE) Excellence in Education Award winner for PreK-12 Schools.

The Board congratulated Colleen Epperson and thanked her for her leadership in environmental education at Highlands.

Rationale

The following employees were nominated for a Portrait of a Graduate Global Leader Award:

Information was also given showing how the district's social media presence has grown on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as well as increased media exposure through local news stations and other new platforms (KY Tribune, RCN, etc.).

III.B. Essential Workplace Ethics Instruction Program

Bill Bradford informed the Board of the Essential Workplace Ethics Instruction Program, a new requirement in statute with mandatory implementation in September 2019.


Instead of each school district creating their own program, Northern Kentucky schools districts worked together through the NKCES to create the program for all schools in the region.


Program requirements and certification for students were reviewed.
