The Board recognized and congratulated the students on their accomplishment.  Each was given a Certificate of Achievement and a "Champion" t-shirt.

Students from Woodfill Elementary presented about WIGs - Wildly Important Goals, and shared their personal, academic goals and the process for tracking progress.

Jerry Wissman gave the Board an update on the status of this project noting that Century has made a concerted effort to complete the final pieces of this project.

Request approval of a shortened school day and/or week for students under the age of 18 and within our District boundaries. Medical and educational records indicate health concerns and conditions that compromise the ability to tolerate a full school day and/or week. After careful consideration of all relevant information, including input from physicians, family and educators, the Admissions and Release Committee (ARC) has recommended a shortened school day and/or week, with the goal of gradually increasing time at school as health conditions allow.

Order #1903 - Motion Passed:  Approval of the District Funding Assurances for 2018-19 passed with a motion by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth and a second by Mr. John Weyer.

Order #1904 - Motion Passed:  Approval of the law firm of Ruberg Law PLLC to continue to provide legal counsel passed with a motion by Mrs. Karen Allen and a second by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth.

• Policy 05.21 - Responsibility for School Property

Order #1906 - Motion Passed:  Tentative approval based on a first reading of proposed revision of Policy 05.21 - Responsibility for School Property passed with a motion by Mr. John Weyer and a second by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth.

• Policy 08.221 - Grading

Order #1907 - Motion Passed:  Tentative approval based on a first reading of proposed revision to Policy 08.221 - Grading passed with a motion by Mrs. Karen Allen and a second by Mrs. Lisa Duckworth.

• AP Report

Bill Bradford presented and reviewed data from the AP report, noting that 565 students took 1,212 AP exams in 2018. 

• ACT Report

Bill Bradford presented and reviewed the 2018 ACT report, noting that while the average composite showed a slight decrease, it is still well above the state average.

• OECD Test for Schools

Bill Bradford presented and reviewed data from our OECD Assessment Report which gives us a global look at how our students are performing in mathematics, reading and science.

Bill Bradford gave the Board an update on the status of teachers who are interested in obtaining credentials required to teach dual-credit courses.
