2017 Regional Training Opportunity for Ethics, Finance & Superintendent Evaluation

KSBA provides a variety of opportunities to allow school board members to meet the new topical training requirements of ethics, finance, and superintendent evaluation. One option for 2017 is through our partnership with the West Kentucky Educational Cooperative. At the request of several districts in the region, training has been scheduled in Eddyville on August 24th from 5:00-8:00 PM CST.

Training will be provided by KSBA staff and/or training cadre members. Courses are $40 each and each participant will receive handouts as well as credit toward their annual training requirements. EILA credit is also available.

Session C
7:00PM - 8:00PM
- Fee: $40.00
The Ethics of School Board Service

For the board to maintain the trust of its community and ensure high levels of student learning, its decisions and behavior must be grounded in good ethics. Ethical behavior builds trust at all levels, sets the tone for what is right to do, promotes good decision making, helps build collaborative relations, and improves morale. This session will help board members have a better understanding of why ethics matter in school board service. (New in 2017)
