9. Committee Reports
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve motion said in writing: It is the Ohio County Fiscal Court's desire to attract, engage, develop, and retain current and future businesses and employment in Ohio County. This motion will be to begin the process to create the Ohio County Ecomomic Development Alliance, known as OCEDA, the Board of Director's of this organization will consist of a representatives of the following entities: The Ohio County Fiscal Court, Ohio County Board of Education, Ohio County Tourism, Ohio County Hospital, Agricultural Community, the Chamber of Commerce, the Industrial Foundation, city governments-Mayoral representative, large/small businesses community representative. (May be expanded if board so desires) passed with a motion by Kenny Autry and a second by Larry Keown.

Motion Passed:  Motion made by the Court to approve to make a correction to the Wage Subsidy Contract for Kristina Chapman, (Golf Course) a total of 280 hours at 0.50 per hour for a total of $140 and to put it on the payroll for next paycheck date passed with a motion by David Johnston and a second by Larry Keown.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to pay past accrued sick pay to former employee Homer Maiden in the amount of $1,400 (less applicable deductions) based upon 40 hours of accrued pay at his rate of pay of $12.50 per hour. Payment will be made after receipt of memorandum by the Judge Executive from the County Attorney setting forth the legal reasons for payment of other benefits, subject from a letter and authorization from the County Attorney passed with a motion by Jason Bullock and a second by Brandon Thomas.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve the amount of $94,134.00 to purchase a International truck and to be paid by the Treasurer and to write the check from the excess Road Department coal severance money-specifications attached passed with a motion by Michael McKenney and a second by David Johnston.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to take in approxiamtely 660 ft. of Crystal Lane into the County Road System and a short section of road next to house about 130 ft. pending easement passed with a motion by Kenny Autry and a second by Larry Keown.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to continue the dumpster program and when funds are available to add $8,000 to the fund passed with a motion by Larry Keown and a second by David Johnston.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to add to the Rural Waterline Expansion List, a fire hydrant on the corner of Buttermilk Lane and Rochester Road passed with a motion by Jason Bullock and a second by Larry Keown.

Discussion

Larry Miller gave a report on the Cemetery Board and said the next meeting will be December 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Community Center.

Magistrate Michael McKenney said he did receive the petition publicly and has been working weekly with Road Supervisor Jeff Miller to take care of the problems on Dane Drive. He said some chip and seal has been done and more will be done when weather permits.

Magistrate Jason Bullock asked to be on the Work Ready Committee. Judge Executive Johnston appointed him to the committee.

Ernie Moore discussed his concerns about spending $300,000 to start the Ohio County Economic Development Alliance (OCEDA).
