5. Security Cameras Jerusalem Ridge-David Johnston
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to purchase security cameras and an alarm system for Jerusalem Ridge from Taylor's T & E, LLC for $8,155.10 passed with a motion by Kenny Autry and a second by Larry Keown.

6. Closed Session-Personnel
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to go into Closed Session passed with a motion by Larry Keown and a second by Kenny Autry.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to go back into Open Session passed with a motion by Larry Keown and a second by Michael McKenney.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve a status change for Occupational Tax employee, Chasity Lindsey from Part-Time to Full-Time and rate of pay at $11.25 per hour effective October 22, 2012 (and it was agreed that a 3rd person would not be hired in the office) passed with a motion by David Johnston and a second by Kenny Autry.

Discussion

A presentation was made to the Fiscal Court by O.C. Drug Free representatives Olivia Melton and Madison Thomas. They informed the Court that the high school program had been cut $6,500 in funding. They asked the individual Court members to give $200 each from their discretionary funds and each member was agreeable.

7. Committee Reports
Discussion

Sandy Robinson from the O.C. Smoke Free Committee asked the Court about the status of the county smoke free ordinance. Magistrate Jason Bullock said he was in favor of the ordinance, but there was not enough support with the rest of the Court to pass an ordinance.

8. *Other Business Open to Magistrates, Public Officials, and the General Public
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to hire a 911 Dispatcher, Alana Esther at Temporary status at $11.50 per hour passed with a motion by David Johnston and a second by Jason Bullock.

Motion Failed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to take applications for every County job up for hire, even if there is a qualified employee to transfer from department to department and for the Court members to view all applications for review prior to any hires failed with a motion by Michael McKenney and a second by Brandon Thomas.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to advertise bids for (38) acres of land located at State Highway 69 adjacent to the Ohio County Park, with the option to reject any and all bids (see attachment) passed with a motion by Brandon Thomas and a second by Larry Keown.
