Box 52, Hartford, Kentucky 42347, (270)298-3506, to file suit against Leeboy, Inc. and Brandeis Machinery & Supply Co. for a defective pothole patcher, Rosco Model RA-400, sold to the County. The Ohio County Attorney is authorized to execute a contract with the law firm of McKown & Hunt, PLLC, to serve as co-counsel at the hourly rate of One Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars($125.00), to be billed in one-quarter hour increments, minimum passed with a motion by David Johnston and a second by Kenny Autry.

7. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet-Jordan Camp

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve the recommendations of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for the 2012-2013 Rural Secondary Program which includes KY. 369 for asphalt resurfacing at M.P. 0.000 to M.P. 9.000 and KY. 1738 for asphalt resurfacing at M.P. 1.000 to M.P. 2.558 passed with a motion by David Johnston and a second by Kenny Autry.

Discussion

C.A.S.A. director Patty Philips made a presentation to the Court about Court Appointed Special Advocates and the need in Ohio County for these volunteers. Judge Johnston appointed Bethany David from the Ohio County Senior Center as Ohio County's Liasion with C.A.S.A.

9. Coroner's Resolution-David Johnston

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve a resolution in opposition to the closure of the Madisonville, Kentucky Medical Examiner's Office passed with a motion by Larry Keown and a second by Jason Bullock.

10. Resolution for purchase of Road Dept Equipment

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve the job status of Deputy Sheriff John Castello from Part-Time to Full-Time at $16.00 per hour effective March 1, 2012 passed with a motion by David Johnston and a second by Larry Keown.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to hire Allen Russell as a Court Security Officer at $10.00 per hour effective March 7, 2012 passed with a motion by David Johnston and a second by Brandon Thomas.

Discussion

There will be a Firefighter's Appreciation Dinner at the Ohio County Senior Center on May 15, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Ralph Miller, President of the Firefighter's Association, told the Court to remind County citizens that we are under a county wide burn ban from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from February 15, 2012 until April 30, 2012.
