Special Work Session
I. Call to Order/Roll Call
II. Consider authorizing superintendent or designee to identify and inventory miscellaneous surplus furniture, equipment, and technology items at the ARM facility and schools, to advertise items for 7 days, to accept high bid, and to dispose of items that do not sell. The purpose is to help promptly remove surplus items from the ARM building because of the need to get construction started, and to remove surplus items directly from schools to avoid transporting them to the ARM building for inventory and disposal.
Actions Taken

Order #280 - Motion Passed:  Based upon the recommendation of Superintendent Phillip Watts, approval of authorizing superintendent or designee to identify and inventory miscellaneous surplus furniture, equipment, and technology items at the ARM facility and schools, to advertise items for 7 days, to accept high bid, and to dispose of items that do not sell. The purpose is to help promptly remove surplus items from the ARM building because of the need to get construction started, and to remove surplus items directly from schools to avoid transporting them to the ARM building for inventory and disposal passed with a motion by Ms. Anna Morris and a second by Mr. Albert Little.

III. Consider authorizing superintendent or designee to advertise for 7 days and accept low bid for building a temporary access road to the blue building on the Sebastian Campus, to include fabric, 200 tons of rock, and compaction, for the purpose of a temporary location for the Bus Garage. The amount should not exceed $15,000.

Order #281 - Motion Passed:  Based upon the recommendation of Superitnendent Phillip Watts, approval of authorizing superintendent or designee to advertise for 7 days and accept low bid for building a temporary access road to the blue building on the Sebastian Campus, to include fabric, 200 tons of rock, and compaction, for the purpose of a temporary location for the Bus Garage. The amount should not exceed $15,000 passed with a motion by Mr. Albert Little and a second by Mrs. Tiffany Combs.

IV. Consider approval and ratification of amendment to the 2023/2024 school calendar to reflect a 12:00PM school dismissal on Monday, April 8, 2024, because of the solar eclipse.

Order #282 - Motion Passed:  Based upon the recommendation of Superintendent Phillip Watts, approval and ratification of amendment to the 2023/2024 school calendar to reflect a 12:00PM school dismissal on Monday, April 8, 2024, because of the solar eclipse passed with a motion by Mrs. Tiffany Combs and a second by Mr. Albert Little.

V. Review bid information for HTS HVAC project and consider awarding of bid following discussion.
Actions Taken

Order #283 - Motion Passed:  Review bid information for HTS HVAC project and consider awarding of bid following discussion. Based upon the recommendatin of Superintendent Phillip Watts, a motion was made to approve the HTS HVAC project, awarding the low bid to Allen Construction in the amount of $3,281,00 base bids and accpeting the alternate bids to include the following alternates #1, #2, #5 and #6. This would be a total amount in $ passed with a motion by Mr. Albert Little and a second by Ms. Anna Morris.
