| 1:00PM - 5:00PM | Session 1: School Facilities Seminar Level V Leadership This comprehensive overview of school facility planning & construction is presented by state and local experts as well as service providers. Learn and discuss critical topics including the recent school facilities study, facilities planning, funding, bidding, bonding capacity, consolidation, project design, architect selection, risk management and so much more it doesn’t all fit in one session! This seminar will continue on Saturday, December 2, from 8:30 – noon.

| 1:00PM - 5:00PM | Session 2: School Finance Seminar By law, board members are given a tremendous responsibility for control and management of school funds. This session is designed to help newly elected and veteran board members and administrators better understand the their roles and authority in district finance. Topics will include budgetary timelines in the context of the school board’s calendar, fund accounts, terminology, unlocking the secrets of financial statements, the importance of implementing proper internal controls, steps towards a successful audit, how to hire a qualified auditor, and the warning signs that can lead your district to financial problems. (Applied for Finance Officer Training Credit.)

Designed especially for newly elected board members and those in their first term of service, this track is also valuable for experienced members in mentoring roles. Learn board fundamentals including board roles, responsibilities, relationships beyond the board meeting, student learning and support services and the legal information every board member must know! |
| 8:30AM - 12:00PM | Track Two: School Facilities Seminar, Part II – Academy Level V Participants from Friday’s session will continue to build their skills and understanding of school facilities, however past participation is not required. This session is ideal for anyone interested learning more about school facilities.
